Chromatic Readymades From Yourself is a vaporwave project based around the conceptual arts of Marcel Duchamp. "It wasn't how to be a better artist, it was how to redefine the question of what is to be an artist. A readymade work of art is something Duchamp came up with... and it was the idea that literally you could go to a store choose an item and call it a work of art." As many other art movements and forms, this is a perfect reflection of vaporwave.
"This world that we have around us, is not a world that we perceive but more a world that we create. You could be looking at yourself perceiving... You could be looking at yourself perceiving..." If we really are a reflection of ourselves, won't that make us a ready-made? Won't that make us a godlike figure if we made our own world? You are godlike and so am I. Welcome to our New Reality.
These plunderphonics tracks using the chromatic scale, are made chromatically meaning that accidents had a huge influence on this work. Every track has a line connecting them in one chromatic color, making it the next work in VANITAS命死's oeuvre.
